To commemorate the Anzac Day centenary, SRC members held a special assembly for our school, parents and community members. It was an emotive and reflective service to remember and recognise the loss, heroism, sacrifice and contributions made by many soldiers during the First World War. Guest speakers shared their personal experiences and service stories, and class representatives laid down commemorative poppy wreaths on behalf of our school.
After learning more about the significance of red poppies for war remembrance, K Bravery created some watercolour paintings to further commemorate Anzac Day.
Lest We Forget.
